Oak Panelled Footboard | Masons Mitres

Oak panelled footboard showing hand moulded top rail, scratch stock cut frame mouldings and hand carved masons mitres to the framework corners. Note the patched in repair on the bottom rail and the traces of hand tool marks on the surface of the individually fitted panels. Also worth noting is the warm 'period' chesnut red colour. Whilst rich and deep, its' clarity still allows the wonderful grain pattern and character of the old oak to show through.
