| HANDMADE BOARDED STOOL IN OAK. Stools such as this would have been made in vast numbers, due in some part to their simplicity of construction. Although they were certainly a commonplace item of furniture in medieval times, many would have also been made during the 17th century and later. It is difficult to attribute accurate dates to original pieces but a 16th century boarded stool, with a good provenance, may be priced at up to £25,000 from an early oak dealer. |
