showing hand carved back panel of armchair. Note the patination at the
ends of the arm, where greasy hands would have darkened the surface,
compared to the centre section where clothing has 'worn' the surface
to a much paler colour. Note also the varying shades on the seat panel
and back, indicating wear in the places it would have naturally occured
'over the centuries'. |
