We designed and oversaw the building
of this brick and flint garden store. The doors and windows were made
by us from reclaimed oak beams and floorboards. The two window casements
hinge at the top and we used an existing salvaged 'shuffle glass' window
and plain panel to create the look of 'later' alterations. The odd door
hinges and old cast iron guttering were also salvaged from elsewhere.
The old-brick garden wall and broken flint wall were built at the same
time, as were the brick paths and overgrown brick and cobbled area in
the foreground. |
