| One
of a set of carved oak armchairs commissioned by the National Trust
for the Great Chamber at Sutton House, Hackney, London. They have replaced
some fragile antique chairs in this lovely panelled room. Sutton House
was built in 1535 by Sir Ralph Sadleir, a rising star at the court of
Henry VIII, and is open to the public most of the year. Our 'Links'
page above has a link to the Sutton House website. |
