TUDOR STYLE OAK CUPBOARD - DOORS

Left door, showing hand-carved panel and hand-forged iron work, typical of the Medieval/Tudor period. Note the faint traces of setting-out scribe marks for the carving (running horizontally just above the lower hinge). Also note how the door has shrunk (over the centuries!!), hence the larger gap on the right. Consequently, the lock bolt now only goes half way through the hasp!
